Way 5000
The way5000 is a new generation of WAY’s small, portable, wireless transaction processing terminals. The model 5000 integrates technologies that open an endless number of possibilities.
The way5000 is programmable, runs multi applications, and can download new applications or update over-the-air (OTA). In addition to WAY’s standard Credit and Debit Card applications, the way5000 will allow for 3rd part development of a variety of other payment and non-payment services such as; Check, Gift, and Loyalty.
WAY Systems End-to-End Security
WAY Systems has developed the Secure Mobile Application Platform (SMAP) as an end-to-end infrastructure for secure mobile application development, deployment, and maintenance. This consists of hardware, software, and messaging elements as well as a networking infrastructure and an additional level of security and message integrity to manage wireless security, latency, and network connectivity Issues.
The way5000 encrypts the card data as soon as it is read or swiped so the merchant will never have access to the card data. The card data is also encrypted before it is sent from the mobile phone over the GSM network.
WAY Transaction Gateway (WTG)
The WTG is a key component of the WAY Systems Mobile Merchant solution. The WTG controls the security and reliability of the WAY Systems network, including WAY Systems terminal management as well as back-end processing capabilities
WTG Provides “End-to-End” Security
- Secure Mobile Application Protocol (SMAP) between terminal and gateway using PKI and 3DES encryption
- Open standards SSL-based encryption between gateway and processor; also supports VPN and dedicated line/frame relay connections
- Transaction gateway certified PCI DSS Level 1 compliant ; meets latest Visa/MC requirements for wireless/IP security
